How to increase your Jelly Battle rank - [Cheat] [Hack]

Warning: Jelly Battle Cheat / Hack ahead, that WILL spoil the fun, if you are new to game of Jelly Battle.

A couple of years back, I wrote about the game Jelly Battle. It was very addictive and a lot of fun to play the game, but there was a small problem for me ever since I started playing it.

The Jelly Rank that I earned, after long hours of play for several days, would, for some crazy reason, reset itself to the default of PRIVATE. This caused me endless frustration that I stopped playing the game after many such mishaps. Though I knew that this could be easily remedied, (since there was no password to logon, the points must usually be stored locally..) I never actually convinced myself 'to look into it'.

Now after all these days, when I went back to playing jelly battle, you could imagine my state of mind when I came across the same problem (and that too after becoming a GENERAL..).

So finally I decided to take a crack at it. And now, I am a happy player :-)

As it has been quite some time, since the game's release and there are no High Score lists, I thought I would share the method to change/increase your Jelly Battle Rank as per your wish! So without further ado here are the steps for the much needed jelly battle cheat / hack...

for Windows:

You will need SOL EDITOR for this and you must have played 'Multi Player' Jelly battle atleast once.

Step 1 - Close any open browser window/tab with Jelly Battle running in it.

Step 2 - Enable hidden Folder view: Open My Computer, in 'Tools' menu - 'Folder Options', select 'View' tab, select 'SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS' and press OK.

note: from this step onwards, replace **Username** with your Windows Account's User Name and **random string** represents various random filenames that are created in the respective locations, if there are more than one, you may have to explore or search through all of them to get to the inner files.

Step 3 - open SOL Editor, go to File menu-Open, go to this location "C:\Documents and Settings\**Username**\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\**random string**\cdn.cloudfiles.mosso.com\**random string**\shell2.swf\" and choose "jellybattlefinal.sol".

if you can't find the above file, then use search to find "jellybattlefinal" with "sol" as extension, in "C:\Documents and Settings\**Username**\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\".

As a good practice, make a copy of this file before you do any changes, so that you can restore it incase something goes wrong.

Step 4 - After opening the file in SOL Editor, In the left panel, find and select "mpRating", which has a calculator like symbol.

Step 5 - You can see a numeric value given in the right side, this is your CURRENT RATING. Change this value to the one you desire to be.. the jelly battle rankings and their points are given below:

Step 6 - Once you changed the value, save the file and quit SOL Editor.

For Mac:

First find a program of your choice,similar to SOL Editor, that has Mac support, I can suggest SolVE.

The rest of the procedure is same as above except for the file location, which should be something like, under Macintosh HD folder,

"/Users/**Username**/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#SharedObjects/**random string**/cdn.cloudfiles.mosso.com/**random string**/shell2.swf/jellybattlefinal.sol"

Now go to the Jelly Battle site and start playing with your new rank!!
